CBRE South Asia Private Limited (“CBRE”) with registered office at PTI Building, Ground Floor, 4 Parliament Street New Delhi, Delhi 110 001, in collaboration with National Association of Software & Service Companies (“NASSCOM”) with registered office at Plot 7 to 10, Sector 126, Noida - 201303, hereby informs the Participants of the Terms and Conditions of the CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0, which they can participate in via the Microsite with URL: https://www.cbredisruptech.in. CBRE and NASSCOM are hereinafter collectively referred to as “Competition Organiser”) with CBRE having full technical authority over CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 and to enter into binding obligations for and on behalf of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 and further authorized to make all other administrative arrangements required for the management and execution of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0. CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 accepts all start-up projects in India working towards innovating and building technology solutions for the real estate sector. The CBRE-NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 aims to identify budding start-ups working towards innovating and building technology solutions for the real estate sector. The collective objective here is to help accelerate the adoption of these technologies and drive digital transformation in the real estate landscape.
The call for entries will commence on 26th July 2023 at 00.00 (IST) and end on 18th September 2023 at 23.59 (IST), with no further entries being admitted beyond this point. The finalists will be selected between 19th Sept 2023 and 24th Oct 2023, pursuant to the procedures set out in these terms and conditions.
CBRE reserves the right to suspend, delay, cancel or modify the duration of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 at any time prior to the closing date, on grounds that will be published on the Microsite.
CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 is only open to people aged 18 or over who meet the requirements set out in Clause 3. Participants from any city in India will be accepted.
CBRE & NASSCOM Employees will be excluded from participating, as well as those people and companies which somehow hold a personal or business relation with CBRE & NASSCOM . Provided that, CBRE & NASSCOM have the right to ask whenever required from every participant to prove this fact, due to the possible existence of a conflict of interest. To enter CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 , Participants must present a business project.
Each Participant shall guarantee the accuracy of the information provided for their enrolment and participation in each stage of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 . If the information supplied is found to be inaccurate, the right to receive the award shall be forfeited and the Participant in question shall be obliged to repay it.
Anybody wishing to take part in CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 must complete the following:
CBRE will only consider Participants that fully comply with all the requirements set out these Terms and Conditions published on the Microsite. Participants must be able to clearly demonstrate that their solution satisfy the current needs in following sections:
FINTECH: Solutions that infuse technology and innovation into the real estate finance (Eg: AI, Blockchain, Analytics). Solutions that simplify decision making and ensures high security, transparency and visual interactions in real estate transactions.
ENVIRONMENT, SOCIAL & GOVERNANCE (ESG): Solutions that deliver positive impact to environment, community or improve processes, business efficiencies, optimize cost in real estate industry.
CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY: Emerging technologies that are revolutionizing the construction industry by improving efficiency, safety, collaboration and sustainability.
MADE FOR INDIA: : Solutions that are tailor made for the Indian real estate sector. Solutions that are tailor-made for India, and bridge the gaps in the real estate sector, enabling India to become a global realty giant.
The winners will be decided by a panel of experts, including both CBRE & NASSCOM representatives and external experts. The Judging Panel will examine all the ideas submitted from 19th Sept 2023 to 24th Oct 2023, post which they will determine the finalist and the winners.
From all the Participants that meet the requirements expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions, the Judges will select a shortlist that they believe should be invited to present their idea before the Panel on 31th Oct 2023. CBRE/NASSCOM reserves the right to modify the date of the event for any reason but agrees to provide the finalists and the members of the Panel with sufficient notice.
Each one of the 4 verticals - FINTECH, ESG, CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY and MADE FOR INDIA, will follow the same evaluation scheme by scoring the following areas (the projects with the highest score will be selected):
The finalists selected by the Panel to compete for the possibility of winning CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0, agree to attend the final event, as it is necessary and compulsory for the candidates to present their idea or project in person. If the finalist does not attend the event, he/she will be automatically disqualified from CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0.
CBRE reserves the right to extend the date of the event for any reason, as well as modify or cancel the date of the event, but agrees that should this occur, it will provide the finalists and the members of the Panel with sufficient notice. CBRE will officially notify the finalists via email, as well as provide the date and location of the main event. The finalists must respond to the e-mail within three (3) working days, confirming that they wish to pitch their idea, accepting the terms and conditions of the Challenge and accepting a confidentiality and exclusivity agreement to work with CBRE & NASSCOM.
Those finalists accepting the aforementioned agreement undertake not to collaborate with any third-party that may be regarded as a direct or indirect competitor of CBRE & NASSCOM or any other third party different from CBRE/NASSCOM. Further, the aforesaid finalists undertake to develop their projects solely and exclusively with CBRE.
In the event that CBRE does not receive a reply from the finalists within the established timeframe, or if the finalist refuses to sign the required documents, it will be understood that said finalists has renounced any entitlement to the benefit.
The decision/s of the Jury established for the CBRE-NASSCOM Disruptech 2.0, shall be final with respect to all aspects of this Contest and is binding on all participants without right of appeal. Any participant unwilling to accept this conditionality shall convey the same to the Jury and the organisers to opt out of this contest.
Three (3) winners will be selected and will receive the following awards:

Expert evaluations: 19th Sept 2023 to 24th Oct 2023
Publication of finalists: 25th Oct 2023
Final awards & Gala event: 31th Oct 2023
CBRE reserves the right to modify any of the aforementioned dates for any reason, but agrees to provide the finalists and the members of the Panel with sufficient notice.
All the information, documentation, software, training materials and techniques submitted by Participants in CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 shall be treated as confidential material. Any Participant receiving any kind of reward from CBRE, being these an economic prize, an acceleration or business development programme or any type of collaboration agreement must respond to the e-mail within three (3) working days, confirming that they wish to receive the award, accepting the terms and conditions of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 and accepting a confidentiality and exclusivity agreement to work with CBRE. Those Participants accepting the aforementioned agreement undertake not to collaborate with any third-party that may be regarded as a direct or indirect competitor of CBRE & NASSCOM or any other third-party different from CBRE, besides they undertake to develop their projects solely and exclusively with CBRE. In the event that CBRE does not receive a reply from the winner or the awarded Participant within the established timeframe, or if the winner or the awarded Participant refuses to sign the required documents, it will be understood that said winner expressly renounces any entitlement to the award, and the award will be presented to the runner-up. If none of the winners comply with the terms and conditions set out in this paragraph, the award will be declared null and void.
CBRE will collect and use your personal data including your name, photograph, company name, position, career profile, address and e-mail address in relation to the running of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 and/or for the evaluation of your entry (“Purpose”). Such purposes would include: (i) contacting you, (ii) responding to your questions, (iii) notifying you of selection results and (iv) publishing selection results for CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0.
CBRE outsources the handling of your personal data to its affiliates and partners who assist CBRE in providing CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 (“Affiliates and Partners”). Your personal data will not be published or shared with third parties other than Affiliates and Partners, except for the publication of limited personal data in selection results, and except where we are legally required to do so.
You assume responsibility for the truth and accuracy of the personal data provided, and you hereby authorise the collection and processing of such data for the purposes hereof. In the event of any change to your data, please inform us so that we can keep our records up-to-date. CBRE’s Privacy Policy is available at https://www.cbre.co.in/about-us/global-web-privacy-and-cookie-policy.
Provision of your personal data is voluntary, but if you do not provide your personal data, or if you subsequently withdraw your consent to us continuing to use your personal data, you may not be able to apply for or participate in CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 . We rely on your consent as the basis for its continued processing of your personal data.
As CBRE is a global company, your personal data may also be transferred outside India to Affiliates and Partners. The other countries to which your data may be transferred may not have data protection laws as strict as those of India. Even so, in accordance with the applicable privacy law and CBRE’s Privacy Policy, we shall confirm that our Affiliates and Partners have established the internal systems necessary to keep the measures to protect your personal data and shall properly supervise Affiliates and Partners by way of a data transfer agreement or other appropriate means.
If you wish to make a complaint about our handling of your personal data or possible breach of privacy laws, to see a copy of, or correct, the personal data that we hold about you or to withdraw your consent to our continued processing of your personal data, please contact us at: [DisruptechSupport@cbre.com] .
In accepting these terms and conditions, Participants declare that the ideas and, where appropriate, prototypes that they develop during the course of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 are unpublished and the sole product of their own imagination. They may therefore be put into practice without violating or usurping any third-party rights, and there is no dispute over the intellectual property rights (trademarks, patents, copyrights, etc.) relating to the solution submitted.
Participants undertake to hold CBRE and NASSCOM harmless against any potential claim made by a third party in respect of the intellectual property rights held over the entry or project submitted, and they hereby assume liability for any cost that may arise to the benefit of such third parties, including any legal costs.
CBRE may propose collaboration agreements or joining CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 to Participants who have submitted ideas it finds interesting, regardless of whether the Participants in question have been short-listed or chosen as finalists.
Ownership structure and project development shall be agreed individually in each case.
In order to participate in CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 , each Participant, regardless of whether they win an award, and for non-limiting information purposes, authorises the Competition Organiser:
Additionally, any eventual winner, upon acceptance of the award, grants their consent for their image, voice, name and surname(s) to be published and made public by the Competition Organiser using profiles on different social media networks.
Under no circumstances may the Participant claim any financial sum derived from the use of the aforementioned images by CBRE, beyond the receipt of awards during the potential Challenge awards ceremony.
The winner of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 may not request any payment whatsoever, nor may they oppose the publication of their image, without their express written withdrawal from CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 or the award, respectively.
Submission of the registration form and participation in CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 shall necessarily imply full and unconditional acceptance of the terms and conditions set out herein and of their interpretation by the Competition Organisers.
Any breach by Participants of the terms and conditions contained herein shall result in exclusion from CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 .
Participants shall furthermore accept any decision made by CBRE and the selection committee with regard to the Participants and projects chosen to enter CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 . CBRE reserves the right to end CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 at any time and/or early, and this shall not give rise to any liability for CBRE. The Competition Organisers shall make every effort to prevent CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0's potential early cancellation from harming all or some of the Participants.
CBRE shall not assume liability for any potential loss, damage, theft, delay or any other circumstance of force majeure, such as strikes, or any other cause beyond the company’s control, that may affect the running of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 , and it shall not therefore pay any compensation or indemnification as a result of these or any other causes.
CBRE shall not assume liability for the potential consequences of events of chance or force majeure that may affect the completion of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 . Under no circumstances shall CBRE or NASSCOM be held liable for mistakes in the provision of services by any other person or organisation whose participation is required for the proper running of CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 . In the event that any kind of fraudulent participation in CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 is detected (among other things, the falsification of data, identity theft, the infringement of any intellectual property right, etc.), this shall result in disqualification from CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 . In this regard, CBRE reserves the right to take legal action against any Participant who engages in any fraudulent activity in relation to CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 .
These terms and conditions represent the only agreement between CBRE and Participants in CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 , and they replace any other agreement made earlier between the said parties in relation thereto.
If a dispute arises out of or in connection with CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 , validity or enforceability of it (Dispute) then, either party shall give to the other written notice of the Dispute, setting out its nature and full particulars (Dispute Notice), together with relevant supporting documents. On service of the Dispute Notice, the parties shall attempt in good faith to resolve the Dispute. If the parties of are for any reason unable to resolve the Dispute within 30 days of service of the Dispute Notice, the Dispute shall be submitted to arbitration by a sole arbitrator, appointed by agreement between the parties, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. In the event the Parties are unable to agree on a sole arbitrator within 30 days of a notice of claim served on one party by the other, then each party shall appoint one arbitrator and the arbitrators so appointed shall appoint the third arbitrator. The place of arbitration shall be New Delhi and the language of arbitration shall be in English.
These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with CBRE - NASSCOM DISRUPTECH 2.0 or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and the parties submit to exclusive jurisdiction of courts at New Delhi, India.
